New native trees on 4th Avenue have arrived and they are beautiful!
The Fourth Avenue Merchants Association in partnership with the Tucson Department of Transportation and Trees for Tucson have planted 27 new trees along Historic Fourth Avenue.
A few of the new trees are replacing older trees. Most of the trees are planted in formerly barren spots along the Avenue and will enhance the walk-ability of our neighborhood. The new trees are Desert Willows and Palo Breas which will flourish in our environment and provide shade for all our guests. Katie Gannon from Trees for Tucson personally chose each tree for this project! The Fourth Avenue Merchants Association is proud to be working with our community partners to enhance our Historic Fourth Avenue, The Heartbeat of Tucson!
When visiting Fourth Avenue, please be respectful of the barriers.
