Deck The Halls With Local Art: Cultivate Tucson Holiday Market + Iron Horse Fabricators Art Show

If you haven’t noticed, we LOVE supporting small, locally-owned businesses. It’s part of what makes Fourth Avenue such a wonderful place to visit. The Avenue is lined with independent shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. So it’s no surprise that we would be excited about the following two events showcasing locally made art and goods. On December 2nd, enjoy the Cultivate Tucson’s Holiday Market and Iron Horse Fabricator’s art show.

Cultivate Tucson Holiday Market

This year, the popular pop-up, Cultivate Tucson Holiday Market is being held at The Mill on 219 3rd Avenue. The crowd-pleasing event differs from other markets because of it’s philanthropic slant. It’s a market that “introduces makers, designers, small businesses, and non-profits to each other; share emerging talent and spaces.” They also pick a non-profit to spotlight each event. This year, the organization is Border Links, which offers “experiential learning opportunities that explore the difficulties of migration and life along the U.S./Mexico border.”

The market features Tucson favorites like QMULATIVE, Bandito, Blade & Branch, and more.  Take advantage of their Early Bird Hours for $5 in advance and $10 at the door, you can get into the market before the public and shop from 8-10am before the crowds arrive. Regular hours are held from 10am-5pm and tickets can be purchased in advanced here

Iron Horse Fabricators Art Show

Happening right across the street from the Cultivate Holiday Market, is Iron Horse Fabricator’s Art Show. Iron Horse is a metal fabrications workshop that creates exciting and unique furniture, sculptures, metal design fixtures, and more. The show will feature Oaxacan woodcarvings from renowned woodcarver, Augustin Prudencio and Peruvian artwork from Claudio Jimenez, and runs from 4-8pm on 12/2.

There will also be refreshments and live carving demos from Prudencio. Iron Horse Fabricators is located at 503 East 9th Street.
