Faces of Fourth is a featured series on the folks that are the heart and soul of Historic Fourth Avenue. From the merchants who bring commerce to life, to the buskers who fill the avenue with sound, there are many people to celebrate on Fourth Avenue.
Flower Shop on 4th Avenue opened in 2015 and is a locally owned and operated Flower Shop offering unique floral arrangements backed by a service that is friendly and prompt. Their shop is like no other. They put their focus into creating artistic designs that express the emotion and message you wish to communicate whether it be a new baby, a celebration of life, a wedding, just because and such.

Pati Velasquez is a professional floral designer and artist, bartender and friend to all! She started designing 26 years ago while in high school and a young mother. Her dad was stationed at Davis Monthan AFB and her mom is a native Tucsonan. Pati LOVES absolutely everything about her career and she has a much bigger vision that she builds on everyday. She is building her flower empire – one petal at a time!

When did the Avenue first start playing a major role in your life?
I have been on the Avenue for many many years, before the development when it was just a scary place with good bars, shopping and food.
What’s one of your favorite things about the Avenue?
One of my favorite things about the Avenue are the people and the community-family dynamic. I love how eclectic and passionate we all are about of living our dream.
Where is one of your favorite places to frequent on Fourth?
Boca Tacos of course! Followed by the Drunken Chicken.
Tell us one of your most memorable experiences on the Avenue.
There are many. And they happen often. I just love walking down the street and I know everyone! I love walking into my frequent haunts and being treated like gold.
If you could time travel, what year would you like to visit Fourth Avenue?
2019!!!
